Evaluation and validation of the Asset Administration Shells (AAS) of an AI system

Description of the service

Check the conformity of Asset Administration Shells (AAS) of an AI system with the AAS specifications and reference implementations.

The Asset Administration Shell (AAS) supports standard-compliant data exchange along the entire production lifecycle and is used to implement the digital twin. Compliant AI solutions can apply the standard and increase interoperability, acceptance and trust. However, the range of submodels and implementation options poses challenges for AI system providers and integrators. Has the AAS specification been applied correctly? Have the required submodels been identified and correctly defined? Does the technical implementation meet the requirements of the underlying use case?

We evaluate the AAS implementation in the context of your AI application and connected systems. Depending on the objective, we review the submodels, methodology and technical implementation. In addition to the evaluation results, you will receive specific methodological and technical recommendations for action.
Expected results: Report with test results and recommendations
The methodology: Test conformity to the AAS specifications (part 1, 2, 5), the AAS submodel specifications, the file format specifications (AASX, XML, JSON), and the server/client reference implementations.
Target: Manufacturers and generally SMEs that need to have their AAS implementations or AAS parts evaluated to actual standards and interoperability with other manufacturers. AI/ML system providers or integrators for Production Systems and Industrial Manufacturing.
